Costa Rica #15 - Crocodile Tour + Amphibians and Reptiles Night Tour

Even though we'd seen the crocs at Tarcoles, we wanted a closer view, so we took a boat tour.
It was so fun to spot them all over the river - there were dozens of them!
Our guide, Jose, was nuts and would just climb out of the boat into the water with the crocs. He would feed them bits of chicken, and I swear they looked like they were going to bite his hand off!
There were tons of big cool birds all around too.
Death wish.
We went down this little fork of the river and explored the mangrove trees.
We round little crabs all over the trees.
Tree full of pink cockatoo-ish birds - felt like we were in Australia!
That night we went on an Amphibians and Reptiles Night Tour. We saw some amazing things, but Tracie the Bug Lady pretty much ruined every tour from here on out. :)
Golden Orb-Weaving Spider.
I think these ones were called Glass Frogs? So cute.
I have no memory about what this is a picture of, but it looks super duper creepy.
You can't tell very well in the pictures, but these frogs were pretty much translucent; you could see their hearts beating. Very cool.
I wish I remembered the details about this type of toad. It had some good super powers.
